That would have been handy
When the current model MacBook Pros and iMacs were released I had a chuckle about a feature that I thought was redundant and had no place in an Apple product. It turns out that I was mistaken. I’m talking about the SDXC card slot. It really sounded like something I’d never use. And because I didn’t have a use for it neither should anyone else. After all, I used compact flash.
So this all began last night when I went to hunt down my card reader. I’d taken some shots with my new camera and wanted to have a decent look at them. The new camera of course uses SDHC cards. Aperture had been updated and I was ready to go. Unfortunately I could not find my card reader and the cable for direct camera connection (which I hate using) was still at the office.
Apple seems to have some sort of sense when it comes to future technology use or at lease what will be useful for future use. I’m slow to catch up with these things. Good thing I don’t work with technology. Oh wait …
